With two Emmy Awards and a Sacramento Press Club nomination, Weston Battagliese is a multi-faceted media expert who can craft a media strategy with a specific message and then create top tier content to promote this message. The experience that Weston has gained through filming, editing, and writing stories has allowed him to master his skillset of capturing events in a dynamic, visual and artistic way. His storytelling skill can help an organization create stories and visuals that help explain their mission statement and push a message to their audience through media and content creation. With experience handling every stage of content production under his belt and over ten years in media content creation, he can apply that skillset to create stories for social media, create visually appealing press conferences, write press releases and talking points, develop connections with members of the local media and help supervise them when they attend events.

How did he get here? Weston Battagliese began his career at the University of Colorado with a bachelor’s degree in communication theory before graduating and becoming a news photographer in Reno at News4. After getting the basics of filming, editing and writing stories for broadcast, he took his talents to a top 20 news market in Sacramento and worked for Fox40 and CBS13 as a photographer where he worked his way up to creating long-form, special project assignments. Moving over to ABC10 in 2022 allowed Weston the opportunity to work with the To the Point with Alex Bell program, which specializes in investigative and political stories. He has since been promoted to Chief Drone Operator, which allows him experience at managing journalists, maintaining a budget for gear and contacting and communicating with National Federal organizations.

What now? Currently working at ABC in Sacramento, Weston was recently nominated for an Emmy Award for the fifth time, which will be announced in the summer of 2026, and is excited to use his skills to help an organization create an image that will positively impact the way their business is viewed by others. He is an expert at crafting and gathering visual content, has immense experience understanding media relations and is an award-winning storyteller excited for the next chapter.
